The Honey House is located in the old Officer's Mess Hall
on the old WWII Naval Air Station — the home of blimp squadron
during World War II, now under the management of the Port of Tillamook Bay.
Our room is located at the back side dock (East End).
It is apporixmatly 250 square feet in size.
Available equipment includes a Lyson W230 electric motorized extractor (capable of extracting 8 deep frames, or 20 medium or shallow frames); an uncapping tank, uncapping tools, a small shop vacuum to capture stray bees, and an 8-feet long kitchen style counter top with large stainless steel sinks with hot and cold water for all cleanup needs. TBA will supply soaps, shop towels, mop and bucket, trash bags, and other necessary supplies to make your extraction efforts pleasant.
We also have food grade 5 gallon buckets that members may purchase for the nominal fee of $2.50, and 5 gallon paint bucket filters for $2.00 each.
The price for use of each 4 hour block is $5.00, plus .40 cents per frame extracted.
