TBA Honey House!

The Tillamook Beekeepers Association

Honey House extraction facility

The Honey House is operational and will remain open each season as long as necessary.

Times are 8:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 5:00, 7 days a week.  To reserve a time, contact Dave Walker at 503-812-2437 or davewalkerrph@gmail.com  Select the block of time you wish to have, you may select more than one block if you need it, but be mindful of other member's needs.

The Honey House is located in the old Officer's Mess Hall, 6825 Suite #C, 3

on the old WWII Naval Air Station  — the home of blimp squadron

during World War II, now under the management of the Port of Tillamook Bay.

Our room is located at the back side dock (East End).

It is approximately 240 square feet in size.

Available equipment includes a Lyson W230 electric motorized extractor (capable of extracting 4 deep frames, or 20 medium or shallow frames), an uncapping tank, uncapping tools, a small shop vacuum to capture stray bees, and an 8-feet long kitchen style counter top with large stainless steel sinks with hot and cold water for all cleanup needs.  We also have a postal scale to weigh your buckets up to 400 lbs, and a smaller scale to weigh your bottles and jars.  TBA will supply soaps, cloth and paper towels, wet mop, trash bags, and other necessary supplies to make your extraction efforts pleasant.

We also have food grade 5 gallon buckets that members may purchase for the nominal fee of $2.50.

The price for use is $10.00, plus .50 cents per frame extracted.
