Apiary and Garden Learning Center Project Spring of 2023

On March 28, 2023, the Tillamook Beekeepers Association broke ground and commenced creating an awesome honey bee apiary in which we will house the hives of our queen rearing program.

This facility will also be used as an education facility for all members, beginning beekeeping classes, and for public use such as school field trips and other gatherings wherein beekeeping practices can be safely demonstrated.  Plenty of bee jackets, veils, and gloves will be on hand for visitors.

This is a 1/2 acre plot of land, directly south of our Honey House, and was generously donated by the Port of Tillamook Bay.

Phases 1 through 3 are basically complete!

Now - To help visualize the future, I put my wife Pam's skills in play.  She has designed what I hope this Apiary Garden can become.  We employed one of our son's, who has followed his mother's passion and has become a landscape architect in San Diego.  Jesse took Pam's design and put magical software to it and this is what the future Apiary and Garden will become.
