This page will now serve as a calendar for all events for the Apiary and Garden Learning Center.  Here are the Goals that we have established for the Learning Center.  Each Saturday at 10:00 AM, we will be conducting Hive Dives.  These are great learning opportunities for anyone interested in learning more about taking care of bees.  Basically, every other week will be a dive into the even/odd numbered hives.  We will be checking for the general health of the hive, the queen, and taking the necessary steps to strengthen weak hives.

    Weekly Hive Dive

Every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, a few of us will meet to conduct maintenance on the hives and provide educational opportunities for those wishing to learn more.

These are informal but essential activities.  We will perform various tasks each week on half of our hive inventory.  Odd numbered hives one week, then even numbered hives the next week, and so on for the season.

We are looking for leaders that would volunteer to lead one or more of these sessions.  A few of us are already tasked with a lot of activities and would like to share the opportunity with some of you more seasoned beekeepers. Even if you only led one session every now and then, it would help.

I have set these up so you can RSVP by ticket type.  1.  Leader, 2. Participant, and 3. Observer.
