When Claire adds her comments, the places the club has receive tree from if we were to put an order together as a club, we could come up with some nice pricing.
Hi, Mark!
Because you weren't at the meeting yesterday, you don't know that some commercial bare root wholesaler who also happens to be a beekeeper is donating 50+ bee friendly trees and shrubs to the club. Brad says anything we don't use for the apiary will be sold to the club for a nominal charge. I believe they may be coming around the time of our April meeting.
We won't know exactly what they are until we get them. But the trees are ones that are on our website. You might want to wait and see whether you need more after those get here. The fact that the man is a beekeeper is huge.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Jamie and I would also do min. of $200.
I found a nursery that specializes in native plants, they have a wide variety of trees and woody brushes that make up a lot of bee friendly plants. There is a $1000 minimum order to buy at wholesale. If anyone wants to participate in this, I’m able to come up with several hundred dollars worth myself. http://www.boskydellnatives.com/index.htm Check it out
Excellent question, Claire will need to share that information.
Thanks
Rick
What is the best place to order the trees that are recommended on this forum?
