We have queen cells that need to go into mating nucs on Wednesday. Each mating nuc should have two frames of capped brood and bees. If you have a strong hive, could we borrow or have one or two frames of your capped brood with bees? We could also use a frame with pollen and nectar but we can deal with that. Most important is the capped brood with bees.
Please bring the two frames of capped brood WITH BEES on Tuesday, the 13th to the mating nuc site at my place. We can come and get them from your hive with you if you need us to.
Thanks and more thanks and more thanks. It's a huge contribution to the queen rearing project and, in fact, is the only way we can raise queens. Our club colonies are not strong enough to pull very many capped brood frames and still have those colonies grow to the strength we want them to be in the fall.
