    Varroa mites are the primary mode of transmission for deformed wing virus. The varroa mite transfers viral particles to larvae, and the infection continues into adulthood. Wing deformities occur during the pupal stage. Adult bees can transmit the virus when they exchange food (trophallaxis)

    Looks like I may have discovered a bee in my hive I was trying to requeen. Any thoughts?
