I mentioned to Fonta that a few of us were interested in visiting her farm and getting a walk thru her apiary.
She suggested that we have her conduct her Bee School here in Tillamook.
It's a three part class that is an all day workshop with fieldwork.
It covers bee biology, brood nest dynamics and the anatomy of a hive: using your gear throughout the season.
It's a bit pricey but if we charged a nominal fee for all attendees, perhaps it would be worth it. Let me know if you are interested and we can consider it based on positive response.
