Lisa and all other NUC buyers.
Rain will be problematic for sure, but doable.
First of all you cannot leave them boxed up over the weekend. They need to fly free from their box. Worse case, place the carboard box in the yard where you expect them to be permanently housed, and pull the yellow cork and wait until it's not raining. A slight mist or a break in the rain is a good time to transfer them to their new home.
The hour by hour weather report shows a slight chance of some breaks in the rain, meaning that it shouldn't be raining all day long. There should be a break in there somewhere. But, if not, the cardboard box has been their home for a few weeks already, so another day or two won't be disastrous.
Just remember that water is the most precious resource on earth, and we live in Oregon where we have such an abundance......(grin)
Looking ahead to this weekend's weather and Friday's forecast is 100% chance of rain. Does anyone have tips on how to install a nuc in the rain?
Would it be terrible to keep the nuc in the box in my garage until Saturday afternoon (when the rain looks like it might let up a little)?
The temps aren't even hitting 55 this weekend - cold and wet seems like not ideal for nuc installation.
Thanks!
