We have several variations of filters or stainers at the honey house to include Paint Filters for 5 gallon buckets.

You will find that the paint filters take 10 times longer to strain the honey.

The best one IMHO is the two phase filter that fits with arm extensions for a 5 gallon bucket.  We have two of those, as the first one is somewhat clogged up with wax over time.  The new one works great and as long as folk rense it with very hot water to keep it from clogging up.

We have used the 5 gallon bucket with the paint strainer. You need a tight strap around the bucket to secure the paint strainer. Worked well.

I found this gentleman's video pretty intresting. I know not all of it is practical for many us but some of it might be. Give it a look and let me know what you think. I really liked the box fan idea and the five gallon paint strainer technique.
