Nice to see the results of the survey. Good to have feedback and the results look good for our apiary. The one hive that had sac brood and chalk brood was eliminated last fall. So far this year we have 9 of 11 that have survived the winter. We are currently feeding them sugar bricks and put in a half pollen patty to keep them fed. With any luck they will survive the next couple of months and we will be doing some splits later this spring.

Last July 23rd, 3 technicians from the USDA field office came to our Apiary and tested 8 of our hives as part of a nationwide survey. The molecular lab is still processing our samples for moelcular targets.
Here is a partial report. A follow up with an updated report once molecular results are in hand is still expected.
Bottom line is that we looked better than the rest of the nation.
