Quick question.
I have a hive that does not seem to have that robust of a population.
There are 19 frames in the hive, it is a horizontal hive. There is a decent amount of resources although not a lot of capped honey.
It seemed to be doing well earlier in the summer but when I checked today there is little brood and not a lot of eggs/larve. There is a fair amount of drone brood.
I did a mite check and there was only one.
I am not sure how old the queen is, she came from a swarm this year. She looks healthy.
Should I feed them 1/1 syrup and see if they get going, pull brood from my other hive (which has ample amounts of brood) or requeen. It looks like there are still mated queens available.
Thank you for any input
