Our three hives suffered a bear attack last night (1980 Skyline Dr). We are moving them temporarily to the TBA Apiary today to prevent further attack. We are happy to donate these three hives as they are to any new willing home, and ask the new owner make a donation to the TBA in exchange. Contact Daniel at 310-462-9555 if interested.

    Hives are:

    • Single deep apimaye hive, appears intact.
    • Single deep apimaye hive, damage to base, lid, and several frames within. Lid is still watertight.
    • Double deep wooden hive, top deep intact; able to transfer 7 frames from bottom deep into new box.
Completed series of 5 OA treatments this fall; last OA treatment was 9/29/26. Completed last hive check 10/14/26, all hives healthy with an active queen.

We also have additional equipment for these hives. Contact Daniel at 310-462-9555 if interested.
    • Apimaye: 2 deep boxes, 2 super boxes, 2queen excluders, 2 division boards, 2 pollen traps
    • Several wooden deeps and supers, additional lids, queen excluders, etc.
